The $25,000 La Pacifica Handicap at Los Alamitos brings together a good group of 3-year-old fillies, and many trainers are trying to prove their gals belong at this level.
Meanwhile, one of the fillies in here is above this level and is taking a step down to grab momentum to move back to higher stakes.
Standing out in that aspect is A First Down Snow. The First Down Dash filly has competitive in much tougher races and should have a good run against these – most of which are coming out of conditioned allowance races. She has usually had legit excuses for a few bad results, and with a clean trip she can get the goodies here
.
Our Eyes:
EASEFUL DINASTIA: Takes a big step up. Not today.
CHICKITITA: Has been keeping close vs. tough foes. Right there in the hunt.
TAC IT TO HEART: Lost a photo in softer soft. In tough.
TAC OUT: Has done her best on a lower level.
SIXY SILHOUETTE: Ran well in a few trials in N.M.. It’s likely that Paul Jones has her ready.
OC CITY GIRL: Dipped down to allowance foes to get a victory. Back to better company.
A FIRST DOWN SNOW: Has been vs. much tougher and has a good chance to run down these foes.
MAI CORONA: Ran well in his last but moves to much better spot.
STUDY HALL PIERCE: Has won 4 of 6 and has a good chance to stay for part.
SEPARATE THOUGHTS: Needs to improve to run competitive with these.
